Privacy Policy

Squarecaster’s games run in your browser. You can play without an account, and your game progress stays on your device.
- No ads, no advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or share your information for advertising.
- Each round sends a short anonymous summary with no identifiers. You can switch it off.
- An account and payment details are needed only if you choose to buy the Arcade Pass, which is coming soon.
Who we are
Squarecaster is run by IMDMP, LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. For anything about your information, email support@squarecaster.com.
What stays in your browser
Squarecaster saves your progress with your browser’s local storage. It is not sent to us.
- Each game’s records and audio settings, and Clockwork Lockdown’s campaign progress.
- A shared practice record: completed rounds, answer counts and a small set of Garden Raid response times by file.
- Square Sprint results and history, today’s Daily Sprint result, and recent find times for each square.
- Your choice about anonymous play statistics.
Squarecaster also stores its game files in your browser so it can open offline. Clearing site data removes all of this. It is not synced between devices.
Anonymous play statistics
To learn where the games are confusing or lose players, each round (except Explore and capture practice, which send nothing) sends a short summary to Squarecaster’s own server: the game and mode, the level number, how the round ended, active play time in seconds, how many answers were tried, missed and fixed, and the release of the game. The marketing page sends the same kind of summary when it is viewed, when its five-square taster is finished and when an arcade link is followed. Up to five script error counts per page are sent too, without the error message.
Summaries never include your answers, the squares you chose, what you typed, your records or saves, cookies, a visitor or device ID, or anything that links rounds to each other or to you. They are stored in Cloudflare Analytics Engine, which keeps them for about three months.
Statistics are on by default. You can switch them off in Privacy on the arcade’s home page, and that choice is saved in your browser. The standalone marketing site has no switch of its own; use Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control there. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is sent at all.
Page-view counts on the marketing site
The standalone marketing site also loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views. Cloudflare describes it as cookieless: it records the page address, the referring page, browser and device type and page-load timing, without cookies or local storage. The games do not load it.
Hosting and security
Squarecaster is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare receives normal request information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the address requested, and uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Some test versions of the site use Cloudflare Access, which asks for an email address and a one-time code before letting testers in.
If you email support@squarecaster.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards your message to our studio inbox, hosted by Google Gmail. We use your email address and message only to reply and help you, and keep them as long as needed for that and for our business records.
Buying the Arcade Pass
The Arcade Pass is coming soon. Buying it needs an account, and involves these services, each under its own privacy policy:
- Clerk provides sign-in. You create an account only when you choose to buy or to restore a purchase. Clerk stores your email address and sign-in details, and sets cookies to keep you signed in.
- Stripe and Link handle checkout. Link is the reseller and merchant of record for your order, so it collects your payment details, billing country and email, and sends your receipt. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- Squarecaster’s server (on Cloudflare) records which account owns the unlock, with the order and payment references Stripe gives us, so the unlock can be restored on your devices and refunds can be handled.
Your game progress still stays in your browser. Buying does not upload it.
Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. Link’s privacy policy: link.com/privacy. Clerk’s privacy policy: clerk.com/legal/privacy. Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Cookies
The games set no cookies. Cloudflare Access sets a sign-in cookie on test versions of the site, and Clerk sets sign-in cookies if you create an account.
Your choices
- Switch off anonymous statistics in Privacy on the arcade’s home page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Clear Squarecaster’s site data in your browser to delete your saved progress.
- Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, including your account. We may need to keep order records that the law requires.
The services above are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new date. We will update this page before the Arcade Pass goes on sale if anything here changes.
